Thanks to Tom Kay and Laurie Thorpe for this suggestion – the whole of Event Horizon is messed up and once again reiterates why you shouldn’t go on rescue missions for missing spaceships. NOT A GOOD MOVE.
Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne) and his unlucky crew set off to find missing ship Event Horizon which is sending a distress signal, having disappeared on its maiden voyage seven years earlier. When they find the ship, the crew board and find evidence of a massacre…and they start to have haunting hallucinations which all link to their own fears and experiences. They then find a video log which shows the Event Horizon crew doing really bad things to each other, sealing their fate. Very bad things indeed. They have literally gone to hell.
