Role Models (2008) Director: David Wain

Role Models, the tale of two energy drink employees who go off the rails and get community service, amused me greatly; it's actually a pretty funny film. It's got a good script and Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott are always good value for money, bouncing well off each other.

Danny Donahue (Rudd) and Anson Wheeler (Scott) have to do their community service at Sturdy Wings, a programme for 'challenging' children and teenagers. The programme is led by Glee's Jane Lynch as Gayle Sweeny, another great casting. Danny gets put with the geeky Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who is obsessed with live action RPGs, whilst Anson is stuck with foul-mouthed kid Ronnie (Bobb'e J.Thompson), who gets the majority of the best lines along with sex-junkie Anson.

A camping trip is a focal point for a lot of the humour, as well as the guys coming onboard to help Augie triumph in a RPG, whilst they are all dressed as KISS.

The punchy screenplay, gags a plenty and good casting make this an enjoyable ride.
