Zack and Miri Make a Porno - Director: Kevin Smith (2008)

For all you perverts out there expecting a full-on f**k-fest, Zack and Miri isn't quite the film for you. In fact, it's a heart-warming and gentle love story. With 'Jay', Jason Mewes, unleashing, err, 'little Jay' on screen. And some poo stuff.

In typical Kevin Smith fashion, things get a bit gooey and 'Disney' towards the end but Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are great lead characters that you fall for instantly. As flatmates, you know they just have to be together in the Biblical sense but will they see it? Strapped for cash, with their electricity and water cut off, they become increasingly desperate and turn to making a homemade porno to make cash, with Zack writing a sex scene for him and Miri to perform. Do they do the deed? That'd be telling. But something quite monumental happens which makes them realise they lurrrves each other and all squishy stuff (of the non bodily fluids variety).

A great comedy, likeable and actually far tamer than expected. Out of interest, this is the first film by Smith not set in New Jersey.
